Universitat de València (UV) admission at a glance
The Universitat de València (UV) sets no minimum mark for its Grau degrees: UV does not require a set mark for admission to its degrees, and in the preinscripció applicants are ranked by their admission mark, from highest to lowest, until each Grau's places run out. Spanish universities calculate that mark out of 14 points, so your diploma, your accreditation and any extra exams decide where you stand.
UV is a public university in Valencia, and it is not the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV). The application itself is shared: UV says you request a place through the common preinscripció procedure of the five Valencian public universities, which the Conselleria d'Educació, Cultura, Universitats i Ocupació of the Generalitat Valenciana runs. Once the preinscripció gives you a place, you complete the matrícula (enrolment) at UV itself.
Your route depends on your school system
UV publishes two routes for school-leavers from abroad. The first is for students from EU school systems, the International Baccalaureate or countries with a reciprocal agreement; the second is for students from school systems outside the EU or from countries without an agreement, who start with homologació (official recognition) of their diploma.
Both routes pass through UNEDasiss, the accreditation service of Spain's distance university UNED, which issues the accreditation that includes your nota d'accés a la universitat (NAU). Raising that mark is optional and also runs through UNEDasiss; the chapter on raising your mark explains how.
What a credit costs, and the non-EU rate
UV charges tuition per credit, and the price depends on the Grau. According to UV's Grau pages as of October 2026, which name no academic year, a first-enrolment credit costs 18.0 EUR in the Grau en Medicina and 12.79 EUR in the Grau en International Business / Negocis Internacionals. Foreign students who are neither EU citizens nor under the EU regime pay 36.0 EUR per credit in Medicina and 25.58 EUR in International Business.
UV's enrolment page for new students adds a practical rule: non-EU foreign students who enrol are treated by default as non-residents and charged the corresponding prices. If you hold residence in Spain, document it at enrolment; the fees chapter sets out the rates Grau by Grau.

UV is not the UPV: history, campuses and faculties
The Universitat de València (Estudi General), UV for short, is a public university in Valencia whose constitutions date from 30 October 1499. It is a different institution from the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV): the joint cut-off report of the Valencian universities lists the Universitat de València (Estudi General) and the Universitat Politècnica de València as two separate universities, even though both fill their places through the same preinscripció.
Three names cause confusion when you search from abroad. The Universitat de València (UV) is the Estudi General of Valencia. The Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) is a separate public university in the same city, and the Universidad Católica de Valencia is another separate university. Check the university name on every page, mark and price you rely on.
Five centuries of history
UV's history page traces higher studies in Valencia back to the thirteenth century, when in 1245 King James I obtained from Pope Innocent IV the creation of a Studium Generale. The university itself took shape at the turn of the sixteenth century, in three steps that UV dates exactly.
UV describes today's university as the result of more than five centuries of history, which, in UV's own words, have built up unique knowledge and documentary treasures and made it one of the best Spanish universities. That ranking of itself is UV's claim; the rankings chapter explains what the publishers say.
Campuses and centres
UV's English home page refers to the four campuses that host its welcome activities for students. Each UV Grau page lists the places the degree offers, and some Graus also run outside the city: the Grau ADE (Administració i Direcció d'Empreses) page lists 440 places plus 70 at Ontinyent.
UV and UPV in the shared preinscripció
UV explains that the preinscripció is the procedure that assigns the places of the five Valencian public universities, managed by the Conselleria d'Educació, Cultura, Universitats i Ocupació of the Generalitat Valenciana. UV and UPV therefore appear side by side in the same application, and the joint cut-off report has a separate section for each university. When you read a cut-off mark or a Grau name in that report, take it from the section headed Universitat de València (Estudi General), not from the UPV section.
Valencian, Spanish and English
UV publishes its admission and Grau pages in Valencian and also runs an English home page. Teaching languages are set Grau by Grau. The Grau en Medicina page lists English, Spanish and Valencian as teaching languages and says the degree can be studied in three languages. The Grau en Dret lists Spanish and Valencian, and so does the Grau en Infermeria (Castellà, Valencià).
English in a Grau's language list does not make that Grau English-taught: it means some teaching is offered in English. The chapters on language requirements and on studying in English set out which groups and which levels UV names.
UV rankings and reputation
The Universitat de València (UV) states no position in a named ranking on its own pages, and ranking positions belong to the publishers' own tables. What UV does say about itself is that its history has made it one of the best Spanish universities, which is UV's self-description, not a ranking.
Treat UV's line about being one of the best Spanish universities as the university's own claim. It appears on UV's history page, next to the account of more than five centuries of teaching in Valencia, and it names no ranking, year or publisher. If a ranking matters to your decision, read it on the publisher's site, check the year, and check that the entry is the Universitat de València and not the Universitat Politècnica de València.
| Topic | What UV publishes | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Ranking position | None stated; only the self-description one of the best Spanish universities | History page |
| International profile | 14 international double degrees at the Facultat d'Economia | Faculty of Economics page |
| Size | No student or staff total; a news headline reports 7.212 people sitting the PAU at UV | English home page |
International profile
The clearest international signal on UV's pages comes from one faculty. The Facultat d'Economia lists 14 international double degrees (Dobles Titulacions Internacionals) in its Grau offer. That figure belongs to the Faculty of Economics, not to UV as a whole.
Size in numbers
UV's admission and Grau pages give no total of students or staff. The one headcount on UV's English home page, as of October 2026, is a news headline: 7.212 people sit the PAU at the Universitat de València. Spanish notation uses a full stop for thousands, so that is a little over seven thousand candidates for the university entrance exam at UV. The headline names no year and counts exam candidates, not UV students.
UV cut-off marks (notes de tall) and places
The Universitat de València (UV) sets no minimum mark, so its cut-off marks (notes de tall) are past results, not a requirement: in the first cut-off report for curs 2026-2027, dated 08/07/2026, the general quota of the Grado en Medicina closed at 13,171 out of 14. UV calls these marks only orientative; the marks for autumn 2027 entry will only exist once that year's places are allocated.
UV defines a nota de tall as the mark of the last student who obtained a place in a given degree in the previous year. UV also states that it does not require a set mark for admission to its degrees. A cut-off is therefore the result of how many people applied with which marks, and it moves from year to year.
Cut-off marks are written with the Spanish decimal comma: 13,171 means thirteen point one seven one, on the admission scale that runs to 14 points. Each mark belongs to one quota (cupo). UV notes that the marks correspond to the last students admitted in each of the quotas; the table below shows the general quota (General).
Cut-off marks for curs 2026-2027, high-demand Graus
| Grau at UV | Cut-off, general quota, June exam session | Places offered |
|---|---|---|
| Medicina | 13,171 | 336 |
| Odontologia | 12,976 | 80 |
| International Business / Negocis Internacionals | 11,941 | 150 |
| Fisioteràpia | 11,711 | 160 |
| Psicologia | 10,949 | 450 |
The cut-off report is a joint document of the Valencian public universities, issued by the Dirección General de Universidades, and the rows above are taken from its section for the Universitat de València (Estudi General). The UPV, Alicante, Jaume I and Miguel Hernández sections list their own Graus and marks, which say nothing about UV.
Other quotas and later lists
Each Grau row also carries marks for the smaller quotas, which are separate competitions. In Medicina, for example, the same 2026-2027 report shows 11,508 for elite athletes, 10,236 for students with disabilities, 6,182 for applicants over twenty-five and 9,8 for degree holders. These marks are not comparable with the general quota, because each quota is ranked on its own route.
UV published several cut-off lists as places were reallocated during 2026, the first dated 10 July 2026 and the last 1 October 2026. The table shows the first report; a later list can show a different mark for the same Grau.
Places, applications and acceptance rate
UV publishes places per Grau on each Grau page, which name no academic year: as of October 2026, Psicologia lists 450 places and Odontologia 80. UV publishes cut-off marks and places, not the number of applications or an acceptance rate, so the cut-off is the only selectivity signal UV gives for a Grau.
How UV admits Grau students: preinscripció and the mark out of 14
The Universitat de València (UV) admits first-year Grau students through one preinscripció shared by the five Valencian public universities and managed by the Conselleria d'Educació, Cultura, Universitats i Ocupació: applicants for each Grau are ranked by mark from highest to lowest and places are assigned in that order until they run out. The mark is calculated out of 14 points.
UV describes the preinscripció as the admission procedure that serves to rank by access mark the students who request a place in a Grau. The Valencian public universities and their affiliated centres run it jointly, so each student can submit only one preinscripció in the Valencian university district.
Who can apply
UV's preinscripció page lists the qualifications that let you apply to a Grau. The ones that matter for an applicant from abroad are EU baccalaureates and those of agreement countries with an access credential issued by UNED, and non-EU studies homologated to the Bachillerato with the corresponding PAU passed. The same list covers the Spanish Bachillerato with the PAU, higher vocational titles, the routes for applicants over 25, 40 or 45, and university graduates.
UV's admission page groups the same requirements into three kinds: passing an access exam (PAU Batxillerat, PAU Majors de 25 anys, PAU Majors de 45 anys or the Sel·lectiu del batxillerat estranger no comunitari), holding an access accreditation (Majors de 40 anys, batxillerat de sistemes educatius de la UE), or holding a title (Cicles Formatius or a university degree).
How the mark out of 14 is built
For the Spanish Bachillerato route, UV's weights page gives the formula. Your access mark is NAU = Bachillerato average (60%) + average of the compulsory PAU phase (40%). Your admission mark for a given Grau is NAT = NAU + [weight x M1] + [weight x M2], where M1 and M2 are the marks of two subjects from the voluntary phase of the PAU, each multiplied by the weight that subject carries for that Grau.
UV sums it up: with the NAU alone, between 5 and 10 points, you already have access to university, but to raise that mark you sit subjects in the voluntary phase of the PAU, which can add a maximum of 4 points, up to 14 points. With a foreign diploma your NAU comes from your UNEDasiss accreditation, and the chapters on your diploma and on raising your mark explain how the extra points work on that route.
Quotas besides the general quota
Places in each Grau are split into quotas (cupos), and each quota is ranked separately. The UV section of the joint cut-off report for 2026-2027 has columns for Deportistas Alto Nivel, Diversidad funcional, General, Mayor 25 años, Mayor 40 años, Mayor 45 años and Titulados:
- General: the main quota, the one the cut-off chapter reports for each Grau.
- Deportistas Alto Nivel: elite athletes.
- Diversidad funcional: students with disabilities.
- Mayor 25 años, Mayor 40 años, Mayor 45 años: the adult access routes.
- Titulados: holders of a university degree.
Your diploma: Spanish Bachillerato, EU and IB (UNEDasiss), other systems (homologació)
The Universitat de València (UV) sorts applicants by school system, not by diploma name: with a diploma from an EU system, the International Baccalaureate or an agreement country you request a UNEDasiss accreditation worth a maximum of 10 points, while with a diploma from any other system you first get homologació from Spain's Ministry of Education and then an accreditation of between 5 and 6 points. Spanish Bachillerato holders take the PAU.
| Your school system | What you need | Access mark you start with |
|---|---|---|
| Spanish Bachillerato | Pass the PAU and file the preinscripció | Bachillerato average (60%) and PAU General phase (40%) |
| EU system, International Baccalaureate or agreement country | UNEDasiss accreditation | Up to 10 points |
| Other systems (non-EU, no agreement) | Homologació by the Ministry, then UNEDasiss accreditation | Between 5 and 6 points |
Whichever row is yours, the mark it gives you is only the start. The admission mark that ranks you for a Grau runs to 14 points, and the extra points come from weighted subjects: PAU subjects on the Spanish route, PCE exams or external exams on the UNEDasiss routes. The chapter on raising your mark explains them.
Spanish Bachillerato: the PAU
To enter a Grau with the Spanish Bachillerato you must pass the university entrance exams (PAU) and file the preinscripció. UV's exam page explains the access mark (NAU): it is calculated from the Bachillerato average (60%) and the arithmetic mean of the five General-phase exams, provided that mean is four or higher (40%).
EU systems, the IB and agreement countries: UNEDasiss
If you come from an EU school system, the International Baccalaureate or a country with a reciprocal agreement, UV says your first step is to request from UNEDasiss a certification or accreditation of the pre-university studies you passed in your country. That accreditation carries a maximum of 10 points and is your access mark (NAU).
Which countries have such an agreement is a question for UNEDasiss, which issues the accreditation: if your diploma comes from an agreement country, the same route applies as for an EU system, with no homologació.
Other systems: homologació, then UNEDasiss
With a diploma from a system outside the EU and without an agreement, UV's steps are: homologació of your studies by the Ministry of Education, Vocational Training and Sports, then the UNEDasiss accreditation, an optional mark raise through UNEDasiss, the common preinscripció and the matrícula at UV. You do not need to wait for the Ministry's homologació decision before applying to UNEDasiss. The accreditation then shows a mark between 5 and 6 points, set from the grades in your homologated diploma.
UV's preinscripció page lists non-EU studies homologated to the Bachillerato with the corresponding PAU passed. Ask UNEDasiss how your accreditation will be issued before you plan your exams.
A-levels, French bac, Abitur, matura, US diploma
UV's admission pages do not list diplomas by name, and they do not name A-levels or a US high school diploma. A French baccalauréat, a German Abitur or a Polish matura comes from an EU school system, so the UNEDasiss route applies. For A-levels, a US diploma or any other system outside the EU, the route depends on whether your country has an access agreement with Spain: confirm it with UNEDasiss before you start.
UV's admission pages do not mention the SAT or the ACT: at UV your mark comes from your accreditation and any PCE subjects, not from a US admission test.
Raising your mark: UNEDasiss PCE exams and UV subject weights
With a foreign diploma you raise your mark at the Universitat de València (UV) through the PCE (proves de competències específiques), subject exams run by UNEDasiss: two passed subjects, multiplied by the weight each carries for your Grau, add up to 4 points more, so you can reach 14 points.
UV describes the PCE as tests organised by UNEDasiss that foreign-system students can take to raise their access mark. They are optional, and you can sit them at any of the venues UNEDasiss offers in different countries, so you do not have to travel to Valencia for them.
How many PCE subjects, and when
The number of subjects depends on your route. From an EU system, the IB or an agreement country you choose a maximum of 6 subjects from the UNEDasiss list. From a non-EU system without an agreement you choose a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 6 subjects, because on that route the PCE first raise your access mark itself. On both routes, only subjects passed with a grade of 5 or more count.
UV gives estimated dates without a year: registration usually opens in February and the exams are usually in May. For autumn 2027 entry, plan for that pattern in 2027 and take the exact dates from UNEDasiss once it publishes them.
| Route | Access mark (NAU) | Admission mark for a Grau (NAT) |
|---|---|---|
| EU system, IB or agreement country | UNEDasiss accreditation, up to 10 points | Two weighted PCE or recognised external-exam subjects add up to 4 points, to 14 |
| Non-EU system without agreement | Four best PCE grades multiplied by 0,1 are added to the accreditation, up to 10 points | Two PCE subjects can also be weighted, up to 14 points |
Subject weights (ponderacions)
A weight says how much a subject counts for a particular Grau. UV explains that weights can be 0, 0,1 or 0,2: a subject weighted 0,2 for your Grau counts twice as much as one weighted 0,1, and a subject weighted 0 adds nothing to that Grau. Choose your PCE subjects from the weights of the Graus you will list, not from the subjects you like best.
If you meet an older weights list, check the cycle printed at its top before you choose your subjects.
Using your home country's external exams
Instead of sitting PCE, you can use exams you already took at home. UV's page says students who studied abroad can ask UNEDasiss to recognise subjects they studied, provided they can show they were examined in external assessment tests run by bodies of their home country, outside the school where they studied. UV's page states no limit by country.
Language at UV: Valencian, Spanish and English requirements
The Universitat de València (UV) teaches its Graus in Spanish and Valencian, with English in some. UV tells you to check the language requirements before the preinscripció.
UV tells applicants to check this before they apply: before the preinscripció, consult the requirements in the document Graus universitaris amb condicions especials en la Preinscripció. That document is published by the Generalitat for all Valencian public universities, so read only the rows marked UV.
Spanish and Valencian
Check the teaching languages of your chosen Grau: Dret lists Spanish and Valencian, while Medicina lists English, Spanish and Valencian.
English: a level test for the International Business group
The Grau en International Business / Negocis Internacionals has one teaching group in English (A) and one in Spanish (B), and to enter the English group you take a level test. UV's Grau page gives no score for that test.
Teaching language, Grau by Grau
Each UV Grau page lists its teaching languages (llengua de docència). A Grau that lists English among them offers some teaching in English; it is not an English-taught degree. The list below is as each Grau page shows it, with no academic year named.
| Grau | Teaching languages listed |

UV admissions tests and interviews: PAU, PCE, special conditions, no interviews
The Universitat de València (UV) sets no entrance exam of its own: asked whether any Grau has specific entrance tests, UV's FAQ answers "A la Universitat de València, no". Spanish Bachillerato students take the PAU, students from foreign systems can add UNEDasiss PCE subject tests, and the only interview UV names is on the over-40 access route (prova de majors de 40 anys).
| Your route | Test | Required? |
|---|---|---|
| Spanish Bachillerato | PAU compulsory phase, plus an optional voluntary phase to raise your mark | Compulsory phase yes, voluntary phase no |
| EU system, IB or agreement country | UNEDasiss PCE, a maximum of 6 subjects | Optional, to raise your mark |
| Non-EU system without agreement | UNEDasiss PCE, a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 6 subjects | Optional, to raise your mark |
The PAU for Spanish Bachillerato students
The PAU (Prova d'Accés a la Universitat) has a compulsory phase of Castellà, Valencià, a foreign language (English, French, Italian or German), Història d'Espanya or Història de la Filosofia, and your modality subject, and that grade has unlimited validity. The voluntary phase is optional and serves to raise the access mark. You register at the school where you studied the Bachillerato.
The 2026 PAU took place on 2, 3 and 4 June 2026 (with a possible exam on 5 June) and in a July sitting on 30 June, 1 and 2 July 2026 (possibly 3 July). Those dates belong to the 2026 cycle; the 2027 PAU dates are not yet published.
Special conditions and specific tests
UV's FAQ says no UV Grau has specific entrance tests. For language requirements, UV directs applicants to the document Graus universitaris amb condicions especials en la Preinscripció. Check the requirements for your chosen Grau before applying.
Interviews, SAT and ACT
UV names no interview for school-leavers applying to a Grau. Its one interview is part of the over-40 access route (majors de 40 anys): candidates who score a minimum of 5 in the assessment of their experience and training are called to an interview to assess their maturity and suitability. UV's admission pages do not mention the SAT or the ACT; your mark comes from the PAU, your accreditation and any PCE subjects.
Medicine and health sciences at UV
The Grau en Medicina at the Universitat de València (UV) lasts 6 years (360 ECTS credits), offers 336 places according to its Grau page as of October 2026, and in curs 2026-2027 its general quota closed at 13,171 out of 14 in the first cut-off report. That mark is a past result, not a minimum for 2027.
The Grau en Medicina at a glance
Medicina is taught at the Facultat de Medicina i Odontologia, in the Ciències de la Salut branch. The Grau page says the degree can be studied in three languages: Spanish, Valencian and English, and it qualifies you for the regulated profession of doctor (Metge/essa, Ordre ECI/332/2008). UV recommends prior knowledge of biology, physics, chemistry and mathematics.
The final year is clinical: in sixth year students spend the course on supervised placements in university hospitals, and clinical practicals start in some subjects from third year. The hospitals linked to the faculty are the Hospital Clínic Universitari, Hospital Universitari La Fe, Hospital General Universitari and Hospital Universitari Doctor Peset.
According to the Grau page as of October 2026, which names no academic year, a first-enrolment credit in Medicina costs 18.0 EUR, and 36.0 EUR for foreign students who are neither EU citizens nor under the EU regime.
Cut-off marks for health Graus, curs 2026-2027
| Grau at UV | Cut-off, general quota | Places offered |
|---|---|---|
| Medicina | 13,171 | 336 |
| Odontologia | 12,976 | 80 |
| Infermeria, València | 11,991 | 325 (Grau page total) |
| Infermeria, Ontinyent | 11,604 | Listed with Infermeria |
| Farmàcia | 11,778 | 208 |
| Fisioteràpia | 11,711 | 160 |
The marks come from the first report for curs 2026-2027, dated 08/07/2026, and from its section for the Universitat de València only. They are the marks of the last students admitted in June, and they show how close to the maximum you had to be: for Medicina and Odontologia, above 12,976 on a scale to 14 points. With a foreign diploma, your accreditation alone reaches a maximum of 10 points, so the weighted PCE subjects decide whether a health Grau is within reach.
Which subjects weigh for Medicina
Weights can be 0, 0,1 or 0,2. Check the weights for Medicina before you choose your PCE subjects. UV recommends prior knowledge of biology, physics, chemistry and mathematics.
Certificates for placements
UV's enrolment rules require one certificate that matters for many health students: under Llei 26/2015, students who will do placements involving regular contact with minors must provide a negative certificate from the Central Sex Offenders Register, issued by Spain's Ministry of Justice. UV's general enrolment rules (Consideracions generals) name no vaccination requirement.
UV application step by step: preinscripció calendar for autumn 2027
UV's own page says the preinscripció usually opens in mid-June and closes in the first week of July. Plan your application around that pattern and check the Generalitat's page for the dates that apply to your intake.
The steps, in order
UV lists the same sequence for every applicant from abroad, with one extra first step for systems outside the EU without an agreement. From an EU system, the IB or an agreement country the steps are UNEDasiss accreditation with your access mark (NAU), an optional mark raise through UNEDasiss, the common preinscripció of the five Valencian public universities, then matrícula at UV. From other systems you start with homologació by the Ministry of Education and then follow the same steps.
- Accreditation. Request the UNEDasiss accreditation early.
- Mark raise. Sit PCE subjects with UNEDasiss if the weights of your Graus reward them (see the chapter on raising your mark).
- Preinscripció. Apply online at www.preinscripcion.gva.es, listing up to a maximum of 20 Graus in order of preference.
- Matrícula. If you are admitted to UV you receive a confirmation SMS, and the matrícula is done online at an appointment on a set day and hour.
The usual preinscripció timetable
Allocations and waiting lists
The order of your list matters. UV's FAQ explains that once you are allocated a place in one Grau, you lose your chance in the Graus listed after it, while for the Graus listed before it you stay on the waiting list. To stay on a waiting list you must confirm once, within the set period.
You follow your status and the later allocation dates at www.preinscripcion.gva.es and on UV's website. If you are given a place you want to keep, you must enrol.
Matrícula: appointment and documents
UV's new-student enrolment page, as of October 2026 and without naming the year, gives the matrícula period as from 13 July at 10:00 until 15 July at 17:00. Each admitted student is assigned a set day and hour, ordered by mark within each admission quota. Enrolment is online from any computer or device, and you first obtain your UV credentials (user and password).
| Document | What UV asks for |
|---|---|
| Identity | DNI, NIE or passport |
| Access, EU students | UNED access credential and PAU grades |
| Access, students from outside the EU | Bachillerato convalidation and PAU grades |
| How and by when | Online through the Portal de Serveis, from enrolment until 15 September |
Check the details for your intake
Check the preinscripció calendar and instructions for your intake before applying. Use the weights for your chosen Graus when planning your PCE subjects, as explained in the chapter on raising your mark.
What to study at UV: Graus by branch
The Universitat de València (UV) lists its bachelor's degrees (Graus) in five branches on its offer page, from Medicina, Farmàcia and Psicologia in health sciences to International Business / Negocis Internacionals in the social and legal sciences, plus a list of double degrees and international double degrees. The six Grau pages compared below each list 4 years and 240 ECTS credits; Medicina is longer.
UV's offer page (Oferta de Graus) does not state a total number of Graus; it groups them by branch of knowledge, each with a link to the Grau's own page (Fitxa del Grau). Read the branch that fits your interest, then open the Grau page for its places, centre, languages and price.
Two notes on the offer page are historical, not statements about 2027-2028. Enginyeria Multimèdia carries the line Versió oferida a partir del curs 2018-2019 (the version offered since curs 2018-2019), and Biologia carries Aquest grau no s'oferta per a estudiants de nou ingrés en el curs 2023-2024, a note about curs 2023-2024. Ciències Polítiques i de l'Administració Pública is marked as being phased out (en procés d'extinció). Check the Grau page and the preinscripció offer before you list any of these.
What a Grau page tells you
Each Grau page gives the centre that teaches it, its length, its credits and its places, without naming an academic year. Six examples, as the pages stand in October 2026:
| Grau | Centre | Years | ECTS | Places |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| ADE: Administració i Direcció d'Empreses | Facultat d'Economia | 4 | 240 | 440 + 70 at Ontinyent |
| Dret | Facultat de Dret | 4 | 240 | 560 |
| Psicologia | Facultat de Psicologia i Logopèdia | 4 | 240 | 450 |
| Enginyeria Informàtica | Escola Tècnica Superior d'Enginyeria | 4 | 240 | 43 |

| Estudis Anglesos | Facultat de Filologia, Traducció i Comunicació | 4 | 240 | 160 |
The ADE page notes that you can take the ADE and Dret degrees at the same time, take part of the Grau in English, and that the degree is also taught at the private affiliated centres Florida Universitària and EDEM.
Double degrees and international double degrees
UV's offer page lists double degrees (Dobles Titulacions) that combine two Graus, among them ADE i Dret, Dret i Economia, Física i Matemàtiques, Matemàtiques i Enginyeria Informàtica and Turisme i ADE. Two Graus carry a dual mention (Menció Dual): Enginyeria Química and Química.
International double degrees (Dobles Titulacions Internacionals) are listed for ADE, Ciència de Dades (with Palermo), Dret, Economia, Física, Intel·ligència i Analítica de Negocis, International Business and Química. The Facultat d'Economia alone offers 14 of them: students spend the first two years in València and the third and fourth year at a partner university. Selection happens during the second year, and candidates must have passed more than 90% of the ECTS credits of the first two years and show the partner university's language level beforehand. Because selection is among second-year students, you apply for these once you are at UV, not in the preinscripció.
Studying in English at UV: International Business and other options
The Universitat de València (UV) offers English mainly through English-taught groups inside its Graus: the Grau en International Business / Negocis Internacionals has one group in English (A) and one in Spanish (B), and UV's enrolment rules list English-taught groups in ADE, Economia, Finances i Comptabilitat, International Business, Farmàcia, Medicina, Psicologia and Dret. The International Business Grau page lists English and Spanish as its teaching languages, with no Valencian.
English-taught groups, Grau by Grau
An English group is a teaching group within a Grau that takes most of its classes in English, while the rest of the year group studies in Spanish or Valencian. UV's general enrolment rules list the Graus with such groups by faculty, and each Grau page describes its own option.
| Grau | What UV says about English | How you get in |
|---|---|---|
| International Business / Negocis Internacionals | One group in English (A), one in Spanish (B) | A level test; the level is accredited at matrícula |
| Farmàcia | Spanish, Valencian and English, English within a high academic achievement group (grup d'Alt Rendiment Acadèmic) | Faculty's own information |
| Medicina | Can be studied in Spanish, Valencian and English | Faculty's own information |
| Psicologia | A group that receives most of its teaching in English | Faculty's own information |
| ADE | Part of the Grau can be taken in English | Faculty's own information |
| Economia, Finances i Comptabilitat, Dret | Listed with English-taught groups in the enrolment rules | Faculty's own information |
The enrolment rules add a reward for finishing in English: membership of the group is noted in the European Diploma Supplement if you complete the Grau with at least 50 per cent of the credits taken in English. The Psicologia page describes the same note for its group taught mostly in English.
When the Grau page and the enrolment rules differ
Two UV sources do not match for three Graus. The enrolment rules list English-taught groups for Economia, Psicologia and Dret, while their Grau pages list only Spanish and Valencian as teaching languages: Economia Castellà, Valencià, Psicologia Castellà, Valencià, Dret Castellà, Valencià. The Facultat d'Economia's own site has a page on Grups docència en anglès. If an English group decides your choice, ask the faculty before you apply.
The opposite trap also exists: many Grau pages list English among their teaching languages, for example Odontologia (Anglés, Castellà, Valencià), Fisioteràpia (Anglés, Castellà, Valencià) and Enginyeria Informàtica (Anglés, Castellà, Valencià). English in that list means some teaching in English, not an English-taught degree, so plan to study in Spanish or Valencian as well.
What English level UV asks for
For the English groups, the preinscripció sets no English test: UV tells you to consult each faculty's specific information, and for International Business the level is accredited at enrolment after a level test whose score UV's Grau page does not give.
Careers after UV
Work placements (pràctiques externes) are built into many Universitat de València (UV) Graus, and their weight varies widely: according to the Grau pages as of October 2026, Infermeria includes 82.5 ECTS of placements and ADE 20, while Economia lists 0 but lets you swap two subjects for a 12-credit placement. UV's Grau descriptions give no graduate employment figures.
A zero does not always mean no practice. Medicina lists 0 placement credits, yet its Grau page says that in sixth year students spend the course on supervised placements in university hospitals. Estudis Anglesos (0) and Traducció i Mediació Interlingüística (0) list no placement credits.
How placements work in some Graus
The Facultat de Psicologia i Logopèdia keeps agreements with many institutions and offers around 400 placement places each year in real work settings. In International Business, the final-year project must relate to the external placement. The Facultat d'Economia presents its international double degrees as giving students a competitive advantage on the labour market and more mobility between countries; that is the faculty's description, not an employment figure.
Career services UV names
UV's home page lists three services for work and enterprise, UVpràctiques, UVocupació and UVemprén (placements, employment and entrepreneurship), and the university-business foundation Fundació ADEIT. For graduate employment, check the Inserció laboral section of the Grau page you are considering.
Cost of study at UV: price per credit and non-EU rates
The Universitat de València (UV) charges tuition per credit, and according to its Grau pages as of October 2026, in the nine Graus tabulated below a first-enrolment credit costs from 12.79 EUR (ADE, Dret, International Business) to 18.0 EUR (Medicina and the other health Graus shown). Foreign students who are neither EU citizens nor under the EU regime pay a separate rate in the same Graus, from 25.58 EUR to 36.0 EUR per credit. The Grau pages name no academic year.
| Grau | Price per credit | Foreign students not EU nor under the EU regime |
|---|---|---|
| ADE: Administració i Direcció d'Empreses | 12.79 EUR | 25.58 EUR |
| International Business / Negocis Internacionals | 12.79 EUR | 25.58 EUR |
| Dret | 12.79 EUR | 25.58 EUR |
| Psicologia | 14.03 EUR | 28.06 EUR |
| Enginyeria Informàtica | 17.34 EUR | 34.68 EUR |
| Medicina | 18.0 EUR | 36.0 EUR |
| Farmàcia | 18.0 EUR | 36.0 EUR |
| Fisioteràpia | 18.0 EUR | 36.0 EUR |
| Infermeria | 18.0 EUR | 36.0 EUR |
Which column applies to you depends on your status, not your diploma. UV's enrolment page says non-EU foreign students who enrol are treated by default as non-residents and charged the corresponding prices; once you document residence in Spain, your faculty's office readjusts your payments. UV adds that a stay (estada) is not the same as residence, so a student stay authorisation alone does not move you to the lower column.
Which decree sets the prices
UV's fees page says the amount is set each year by the Generalitat Valenciana and depends on the number of credits, the experimentality level of the Grau and administrative fees. The amounts for first and later enrolments are in Decret 195/2025, of 12 December, which modifies Decret 101/2024, of 2 August, published in the DOGV on 18.12.2025. The decree's text names no academic year, and UV's new-student page still links the public prices for curs 2025/2026.
The decree's annex sets the price per credit by experimentality level and by how many times you have enrolled in a subject. At first enrolment, level A costs 12,79 EUR and level D 18,00 EUR per credit; from the fourth enrolment in the same subject, level D reaches 102,01 EUR. UV notes that public prices cover between 15 per 100 and 25 per 100 of the costs at first enrolment, rising to between 90 per 100 and 100 per 100 from the fourth enrolment.
Because UV says prices are fixed each year with a Generalitat decree published in the DOCV for the corresponding academic year, the curs 2027-2028 prices can differ from those above. Budget with the figures above and check the decree in force when you enrol.
Exemptions and discounts
- Matrícula d'honor in the overall Bachillerato evaluation or a premi extraordinari de Batxillerat: no tuition fees in the first year, once; you pay only administrative fees.
- Matrícula d'honor in a university subject: a discount on the same number of credits the following year.
- Large families (família nombrosa): special category, total exemption; general category, a 50% discount.
- Students with a disability of 33% or more: total exemption.
- Scholarship applicants: tuition is not charged until the grant is refused; you pay only administrative fees meanwhile.
Each exemption applies only to the group it names. If you enrol in single subjects or by credits, the total cannot be less than 300 euros, unless fewer credits remain to finish your degree.
How and when you pay
UV offers two payment methods: direct debit at any bank in Spain, or a credit card. With either you choose one payment, two payments or eight monthly instalments. The matrícula must be paid, or cancelled, before the end of November of the year you enrol, and not paying the fee or an instalment cancels the enrolment without any refund. On top of tuition you pay file opening, the official certificate, compulsory school insurance for students under 28 and the university card.
Scholarships and aid at UV
UV names no scholarship specifically for international Grau students: the three main grants for Universitat de València (UV) students come from Spain's Ministry of Education, the Generalitat Valenciana and UV itself, and the Ministry and Generalitat grants depend on Spanish or EU nationality (Ministry, Generalitat) or, for non-EU students, on Spain's law on the rights and freedoms of foreigners. All three of the latest calls closed in spring 2026, for example the Ministry's call for curso 2026-2027 on 18 May 2026.
| Grant | Latest call | Application window | Who can apply |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ministry of Education general scholarships | Curso académico 2026-2027 | 7 April 2026 at 8:00 to 18 May 2026 at 15:00 | Spanish or EU nationals; non-EU: foreigners' law |
| Generalitat Valenciana Beques per a Estudis Universitaris | Curs 2025-2026 | 10 February 2026 to 9 March 2026 | Spanish or EU nationals with residence in the Comunitat Valenciana; non-EU: foreigners' law, stay holders excluded |
| UV ajudes a l'estudi | Curs 2025-2026 | 10 April 2026 to 11 May 2026 | Students in official studies at UV's own centres |
These calls are past, and their cycles differ: the Ministry's latest is for 2026-2027, while the Generalitat and UV calls shown are for 2025-2026. For autumn 2027 entry the next calls are not yet published; the latest ones opened between February and May 2026, so check the rules in force when they appear.
Ministry of Education scholarships
The Ministry's general scholarships for curso académico 2026-2027, published in the BOE on 25 March 2026, have no fixed number of beneficiaries and cover Grau and double Grau studies. You must be Spanish or an EU national; EU citizens or their family members must be permanent residents or workers, but these requirements do not apply to the tuition grant (beca de matrícula). For non-EU students, the foreigners' law applies.
A Ministry grant comes with a condition you must meet afterwards. UV reminds holders for 2026-2027 that the grant counts as not used for its purpose if you cancel your enrolment or pass less than 50 per cent of your enrolled credits (40 per cent in Ciències and Ensenyaments Tècnics), and you then repay every part of it except the tuition grant.
Generalitat Valenciana grants
The Generalitat's grant for university studies is a tuition exemption: at public universities it consists of exemption from paying for the credits you enrol in, in first and/or second enrolment. Besides nationality, it requires administrative residence in a municipality of the Comunitat Valenciana, shown with a certificate of empadronament during the application period and kept all year. Non-EU foreigners in a stay situation (estada), which includes students on a student stay, are excluded.
UV's grant pages list further Generalitat lines: Beques per a la promoció de l'excel·lència acadèmica, Beques Manuela Solís, Beca de finalització, Beques GV Talent and Ajudes Impuls Universitari. Each has its own rules; read them before you count on any of them.
UV's own aid
UV's own study aids for curs 2025-2026 were open to students in official studies at UV's own centres, and a UV news item said these scholarships cover 1st and 2nd enrolment of a Grau, with the window closing on 11/5/2026. UV also lists extraordinary DANA aid, travel grants, research collaboration grants, external placements, temporary laptop loans and the Ajudes Juan Romero.
If you come from outside the EU on a student stay, plan to pay your own way in the first year: the Generalitat excludes stay holders, the Ministry applies the foreigners' law, and UV names no grant for international Grau students. Budget from the fees chapter.
Housing for UV students: Col·legi Major Rector Peset and other options
The Universitat de València (UV) runs its own residence, the Col·legi Major Rector Peset in Valencia's historic centre, with 179 places for students and priority for UV members, but it states no housing guarantee: to live there you file a new-entry application, and the latest one is for curs 2026-27. Plan a second option as well.
UV describes col·legis majors as university centres that provide residence, preferably to members of the university community, and that promote the human, cultural and scientific education of their residents. UV's housing section has three parts: Col·legis Majors propis, Col·legis Majors adscrits and València-Conviu, so besides UV's own residence there are affiliated col·legis majors and the València-Conviu programme to look at.
The Col·legi Major Rector Peset
The Col·legi Major Rector Peset is a UV-owned university centre integrated in the Universitat de València. It sits in the historic centre of the city of València, in a manor house rehabilitated and adapted in 1997, and has a capacity of 179 places for students and 70 for teaching staff and researchers.
Inside are a computer room, two libraries, four TV rooms, a gym-solarium, an assembly hall, the Sala de la Muralla, a seminar room, a music and rehearsal room, a cafeteria and two dining rooms. The address is Pl. Forn de Sant Nicolau, 4, 46001 València, telephone 963 166 000, email cmrpeset@uv.es.
How you apply for a place
To live in the Col·legi, with or without a scholarship, you must file a new-entry application (sol·licitud de nou ingrés). The application page is headed Sol·licitud curs 2026-27; the application for curs 2027-2028 is not yet published. Priority goes to UV members, so apply once you have your UV place and do not count on a room until the Col·legi confirms it.
| What | What UV states |
|---|---|
| Student places | 179 |
| Who has priority | Members of the Universitat de València |
| How to get a place | New-entry application (sol·licitud de nou ingrés) |
| Latest application cycle | Sol·licitud curs 2026-27 |
| Grants | Residence scholarships called every year |
| Room price | Not stated on UV's col·legi pages |
Residence scholarships and prices
UV calls residence scholarships every year for the Col·legi Major Rector Peset (spelled "Rector Perset" on that page), open to students who enrol at UV. Students who apply for a place can also apply for the grants of the Vicerectorat de Cultura for students from the European Union and of the Vicerectorat de Sostenibilitat, Cooperació i Vida Saludable for students from developing countries. The scholarship application is tied to admission to the Col·legi, and a grant means new-entry admission.
UV's col·legi major pages do not publish a room price. Ask the Col·legi for the fee when you apply, and budget for a private room in Valencia as your fallback.
Student life in Valencia, academic calendar, visa and NIE
The Universitat de València (UV) teaches in two semesters: in curs 2026-2027, the latest published calendar, classes run from 14 September to 23 December 2026 and from 1 February to 21 May 2027. The calendar for curs 2027-2028, your first year if you enter in autumn 2027, is not yet published; UV's calendar page offers only Calendari 2026-2027 and Calendari 2025-2026.
All of these dates belong to curs 2026-2027, including the ones in 2027. Between the first and second sitting of a subject there must be at least 21 calendar days, and UV warns that holidays and non-teaching days may vary with the 2027 holiday and work calendar. Use the pattern to plan your arrival: a first semester that starts in mid-September.
Visa, NIE and residence
UV's admission and enrolment pages do not explain the Spanish student visa or the NIE procedure; check those with the Spanish consulate in your country. What UV's pages do say affects you in three places. At enrolment, your identity document can be a DNI, NIE or passport, so a passport is enough to enrol. Your access documents are the UNED access credential and PAU grades if you come from the EU, or the convalidació of your Bachillerato and PAU grades if you come from outside it, uploaded through the Portal de Serveis from enrolment until 15 September.
Residence status also sets your fee. Non-EU foreign students who enrol are treated by default as non-residents and charged those prices, with payments readjusted once you prove residence in Spain, and UV states that a stay (estada) is not equivalent to residence (residència). On UV's wording, a student stay authorisation alone does not count as residence.
Sport, culture and support
UV's home page groups student life under housing, libraries and archives, languages, university life, health offices, emergencies and transport, next to the student council and programmes such as UVdiscapacitat, UVcultura, UVesports, UVsostenibilitat and UVIgualtat. The services behind them include the Servei d'Esports, Servei d'Estudiants, Servei d'Informació i Dinamització and Servei de Cultura Universitària.
The year starts with a welcome programme: as of October 2026, UV's home page announces BenvingudaUV, with activities from 15 to 27 October on the four campuses to present services, resources and student associations. UV also runs language courses on campus, with enrolment for 2026-2027 open.
Who is UV for? Summary and next steps
The Universitat de València (UV) suits applicants from abroad who can study in Spanish or Valencian and can build a strong mark on the scale out of 14 points: UV does not require a set mark, but places go by mark, and in curs 2026-2027 the general quota of Medicina closed at 13,171.
Who UV suits, and who it does not
- It suits you if you come from an EU system, the IB or an agreement country: your UNEDasiss accreditation counts for up to a maximum of 10 points, and weighted PCE subjects add the rest.
- It suits you if you want a public university with per-credit fees: a first-enrolment credit in Medicina costs 18.0 EUR according to its Grau page as of October 2026.
- Plan carefully if your diploma is from outside the EU without an agreement: you start with homologació by the Ministry, then UNEDasiss, and as a non-EU student you are charged non-resident prices by default, for Medicina 36.0 EUR per credit.
- Plan carefully if you want to study only in English: Grau pages list Spanish and Valencian, with English added in some (Medicina lists Anglés, Castellà, Valencià), and English comes as groups within Graus, such as International Business with one English group (A) and one Spanish group (B) and a level test for the English group.
Next steps for autumn 2027
UV's calendar page offers Calendari 2026-2027 as the newest. Treat every date above as a pattern until the documents for your intake appear.
What to check first
- Your route. EU system, IB or agreement country: UNEDasiss. Any other system: homologació first.
- The cut-off of your Grau and quota. UV calls cut-off marks only orientative; they are the previous cycle's results (curs 2026-2027), not a minimum for 2027.
- Language conditions. UV tells you to check the language requirements before the preinscripció.
- The weights for your Graus. Pick PCE subjects from the weights table for your intake, not from habit.
UV: frequently asked questions
Does UV require an entrance exam or the SAT?
UV sets no entrance exam of its own: asked whether any Grau has specific entrance tests, UV's FAQ answers "A la Universitat de València, no". Spanish Bachillerato students must pass the PAU, while students from EU systems, the IB or agreement countries request a UNEDasiss accreditation. UV's admission pages do not mention the SAT or the ACT.
What is the minimum grade or acceptance rate for UV?
UV does not require a set mark and its pages give no acceptance rate. Applicants are ranked from highest to lowest until places run out, so each Grau's cut-off decides. In curs 2026-2027 the general quota of Medicina closed at 13,171 out of 14, a past result that UV calls only orientative.
What is the UV application deadline for 2027 entry?
UV's page says the preinscripció usually opens in mid-June and closes in the first week of July. Plan around that pattern and check the Generalitat's calendar for your intake before applying.
How much does UV cost for international students?
UV charges per credit, and its Grau pages name no academic year. A first-enrolment credit costs 12.79 EUR in ADE and 18.0 EUR in Medicina; foreign students who are neither EU citizens nor under the EU regime pay 25.58 EUR and 36.0 EUR. Non-EU students who enrol are treated by default as non-residents until they document residence in Spain.
Do I need Spanish to study at UV?
Largely yes: UV's Grau pages list Spanish and Valencian as teaching languages, with English added in some. UV tells you to check the language requirements before the preinscripció.
Can I study in English at UV?
Only in part, through groups inside a Grau. International Business has one group in English (A) and one in Spanish (B), entered after a level test. UV's enrolment rules list English-taught groups in ADE, Economia, Finances i Comptabilitat, International Business, Farmàcia, Medicina, Psicologia and Dret, though the Grau pages of Economia, Psicologia and Dret list only Spanish and Valencian, so ask the faculty.
Is my A-level, IB or US diploma accepted at UV?
UV sorts diplomas by school system. With an EU system, the IB or an agreement-country diploma you request a UNEDasiss accreditation worth a maximum of 10 points; with another system you first obtain homologació, and the accreditation shows between 5 and 6 points. Passed PCE subjects can add up to 4 points more, to 14. UV's admission pages name no A-levels or US diploma, so ask UNEDasiss which route applies to yours.
Are there scholarships for international students at UV?
UV names no scholarship for international Grau students. The Ministry of Education's grants require Spanish or EU nationality (non-EU students fall under Spain's foreigners' law), and the Generalitat's grants exclude persons in a stay situation (estada). The latest calls are past; the Ministry's closed on 18 May 2026.
Is UV the same as the UPV?
No. UV (Estudi General) and the Universitat Politècnica de València are two separate universities in the joint cut-off report, even though both fill places through the same preinscripció of the five Valencian public universities. Take a cut-off mark or a Grau name only from the section headed Universitat de València (Estudi General).
Where can I live as a UV student?
UV runs the Col·legi Major Rector Peset with 179 places for students and priority for UV members; to live there you file a new-entry application (sol·licitud de nou ingrés). The application page is headed Sol·licitud curs 2026-27, and the curs 2027-2028 application is not yet published. UV states no housing guarantee and publishes no room price, so plan a second option in Valencia.
Do I need a student visa or NIE to enrol at UV?
UV's admission and enrolment pages do not explain the Spanish student visa or the NIE procedure, so ask the Spanish consulate in your country. For enrolment itself UV accepts DNI, NIE or passport as identity. Residence status also sets your fee: UV states that a student stay (estada) is not equivalent to residence.
