Business School courses are selective: they receive a high volume of applications relative to the places available, so offers cannot be extended to all applicants.
Applicants to Business School courses also need to have completed High School and obtained their High School Leaving Certificate.

Shortlisting has no pre-determined cut-off: a high academic score can compensate for a lower UCAT score and vice versa. The scale changed: out of 3600 for 2024 and 2025, out of 2700 from 2026.
International applicants meet the same date as UK applicants, the 15th October, and Leeds does not accept applications after the deadline and does not take part in UCAS Extra. Each rule has two Mathematics levels because Economics asks for GCSE grade A/7 and International Business for grade B/5; the figure for your degree is the one on its course page.
Countries whose school certificate leads to a foundation year
For several countries the Business School accepts the school certificate only for Mathematics: for Indonesia, Brazil, Japan, Egypt and Vietnam, applicants need an International Foundation Year, the IB Diploma or A-levels.
- Indonesia: Mathematics at least 90% (A/7) or 80% (B/5); entry itself needs a Foundation Year, IB or A-levels
- Brazil: Mathematics at least 9 out of 10 (A/7) or 8 out of 10 (B/5); entry itself needs a Foundation Year, IB or A-levels
- Saudi Arabia: a Foundation Year, IB or A-levels; the International Arab Baccalaureate at 93% overall is also acceptable for AAA degrees
Leeds states that students who do not meet the academic requirements may study the Leeds International Foundation Year.
