Frequently asked questions
Where does the ranking data come from?
All marks come from the official 2026 NCAA Division I qualifying lists published on TFRRS (indoor national list and outdoor East + West regional lists, merged into one national list per event). This is a snapshot, refreshed manually — the harvest date is shown on the page.
My mark is slower than the last listed result — why is there no exact rank?
The qualifying lists are truncated at roughly the top 100–150 marks per event. Below that cutoff we tell you honestly that you are below #N of the national list and show the closest listed programs for context — we never extrapolate a percentile from a truncated list.
What does “this mark would score in the listed squad” mean?
For every school with athletes in the event we take its weakest mark on the qualifying list. If your mark beats it, your result would have ranked inside that program's listed group this season. It is a depth comparison based only on listed marks — it says nothing about scholarships, roster spots or recruiting interest.
How are hand-timed sprint results handled?
For sprints up to 400m (including hurdles) you can tick “hand-timed” and we add the standard +0.24s conversion to compare against fully-automatic (FAT) times, with the conversion shown next to your result.
Is wind taken into account?
Not in this version. The qualifying lists themselves apply NCAA rules for legal marks; your input is compared against the list as published. Wind-reading support may come later.
